As a unique exterior decoration technology, architectural glass curtain wall has many advantages, such as a strong sense of modern, light and transparent, energy saving and environmental protection. It has been favored by more and more architects and is widely used in the exterior maintenance structure of large venues such as airports, exhibition centers and gymnasiums. In modern urban architecture, glass curtain wall is gradually becoming one of the mainstream aesthetic, and with the increasing popularity of large modern buildings, the type, form, size and weight of glass curtain wall has put forward more and higher demands. There are two main installation methods:

Artificial installation of glass curtain wall: this way requires a lot of labor, generally can only deal with small size, light weight of glass, and dangerous construction conditions, high glass damage rate, handling and installation efficiency is very low. If not done properly, it is likely to cause injury.

Manual hoisting and installation of glass curtain wall with the help of equipment: conventional hoisting, such as cranes, is often limited by cornice, small or indoor complex site conditions can not be normal construction. At the same time, the soft connection of the crane suspension mode often needs the help of human pulling or pushing for positioning, which has poor safety, low accuracy of delivery, time-consuming and laborious, high damage rate and high installation cost.
The glass sucker is mainly composed of a main frame, a sucker and a controller. According to the size and weight of the glass to be installed, select the number of suckers, and adjust the length of the main frame and the spacing between the suckers. This creature resembles the tentacles of an octopus, very flexible and powerful, can swing up and down, up and down and left and right translation, around 45° side swing, 360° continuous rotation, all the above actions are proportional control. The load of a single sucker can reach 500kg, and each sucker can operate independently.
