Laminated glass is generally used by ordinary plate glass or float glass, transparent plastic lining is made of polyvinyl butyral and other plastic film. Laminated glass and insulating glass have the effect of sound insulation to some extent. However, laminated glass has very good anti-seismic ability and explosion-proof performance, insulating glass has better heat insulation.

In terms of sound insulation, there are also different differences between the two. Because of the good seismic performance of laminated glass, when the wind is strong, the possibility of its own vibration to bring noise is very low, especially for low and medium frequency. Hollow glass resonates easily. However, insulating glass is better when it comes to blocking out external noise. So depending on the location, the choice of glass is different.

If it is an ordinary family, hollow glass is a wide choice, if you live in a high-rise building, the wind is high, the external noise is small, laminated glass is also a good choice.

If you're using it in the sunroom. The top of the ordinary sun room is laminated double toughened glass. For the facade, hollow glass is generally used.

Because in case of falling objects from high altitude, laminated glass is relatively safe and difficult to be completely crushed. The facade glass uses hollow glass, which can achieve the effect of heat insulation and make the sun room warm in winter and cool in summer.
Therefore, we can't say that laminated glass and insulating glass are better, only which aspect is in great demand. Window glass is the protection of the knight, suitable for their own is good!
