Choice of soundproof window glazing

Although the method of soundproof Windows is a more passive means to solve the traffic noise, but the effect is more obvious. Practice has proved that in the area with more serious road noise, the indoor noise can be reduced to 30dB. Soundproof glass selection is different, the performance has also changed.

1. Choose insulating glass as soundproof window:

Hollow glass is not vacuum glass, and the concept of the two is different. Hollow glass is made of two (or three) pieces of glass to break glass, and the composite binder with high degree of air tightness is used to bond the glass sheet with the aluminum alloy frame containing desiccant, so as to make efficient sound insulation glass. Hollow glass is not a professional soundproof glass. Although it is effective for the voice, it has no effect on other low and medium frequency noise such as traffic noise. The insulation performance of insulating glass is not good, so the effect of insulating glass as a soundproof window is very limited.

2. Choose vacuum glass as soundproof window:

Vacuum glass is the two pieces of flat glass sealed around, the gap between the two pieces of glass into a vacuum and sealed the exhaust hole, the space between the two pieces of glass is 0.1-0.2mm, the two pieces of vacuum glass generally have at least one of the low radiation glass, so that the heat lost through the conduction, convection and radiation of the vacuum glass to a low level.
In principle, the sound insulation performance of vacuum glass is good, but as a sound insulation glass, vacuum glass has its fatal shortcomings. First, although vacuum can prevent sound transmission, according to the experimental test, in order to ensure the vacuum layer, solid supports invisible to the naked eye are added between the vacuum glass to form solid sound transmission, and the sound insulation effect is not significantly improved. Second, vacuum glass because of gas leakage, penetration, and gathered on the surface of the glass under the action of temperature, sunlight, from the glass surface or surface desorption, or diffusion into the vacuum layer, and then affect the service life of vacuum glass.
