Common problems and material requirements affecting the testing of hollow glass

Common problems affecting the detection of hollow glass. Early failure of insulating glass: its performance is dew condensation inside the insulating glass, butyl glue dissolved flow, short service life. Butyl glue broken glue, width is different, some parts and glass from the channel. A gas line is generated between the inner glue and the outer glue. Outer glue depth does not meet the requirements. When mixing glue, the proportion deviation of A:B component is too large, and the uneven mixing of glue causes incompatibility and non-bonding. Molecular sieve after filling storage time is too long, resulting in molecular sieve failure.

Requirements of hollow glass materials: generally in addition to glass, sealant as the key material of insulating glass edge sealing system, its bond with glass, its own water and gas permeability, elastic modulus, elastic recovery rate and other properties directly affect the service life of hollow glass, so it is very important to choose sealant. Insulating glass sealant, in the water permeability, butyl sealant < polysulfide sealant < silicone sealant. In addition to good aging resistance, insulating glass outer sealant also needs to have high elastic modulus, elastic recovery rate and good bonding performance, in order to ensure good sealing of the edge, and enough tensile and shear strength to withstand all dynamic and static loads supported by insulating glass.

Due to the spontaneous adsorption of desiccant on water, in order to ensure the long-term use of hollow glass, it needs to have high static water adsorption capacity and low adsorption rate. In the production process, due to the limitation of technology, it takes a certain time for the desiccant from filling to finishing, during which the desiccant will spontaneously absorb the water vapor in the air. Low adsorption rate can ensure that in this process, the desiccant adsorption less water, maintain a high residual adsorption capacity. The high static water adsorption capacity can ensure that the desiccant sealed in the hollow cavity of water and gas and the use of sealant permeated into the hollow cavity of water and gas adsorption, so as to maintain the dry cavity for a long time.
