Quartz glass is made of natural crystalline quartz (crystal or pure silica), or synthetic silane by high temperature melting. Quartz glass has very low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, excellent chemical stability, excellent electrical insulation, low and stable ultrasonic delay performance, the best UV spectrum performance and visible light and near infrared spectrum performance, and has higher mechanical properties than ordinary glass.

The advantages of quartz glass:

High temperature resistance, quartz glass softening point temperature of about 1730℃, can be used at 1100℃ for a long time, short time use temperature up to 1450℃.

Corrosion resistance, in addition to hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass almost does not react with other acid substances, its acid corrosion resistance is better than acid-resistant ceramic 30 times, 150 times better than stainless steel, especially at high temperature chemical stability, is not comparable to any other engineering materials.

Good thermal stability, quartz glass thermal expansion coefficient is very small, can withstand drastic temperature changes, quartz glass heated to 1100℃ or so, into room temperature water will not crack.

Good transmittance, quartz glass in the ultraviolet to infrared spectrum band has good transmittance, visible light transmittance in more than 92%, especially in the ultraviolet spectrum region, transmittance can reach more than 80%.

Quartz glass has its unique optical properties, it can pass through the far ultraviolet spectrum, is the best of all ultraviolet materials, and can pass through the visible light and near infrared spectrum.

Quartz glass has good light transmission performance in the whole spectrum band from ultraviolet to infrared, visible light transmittance is more than 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectrum region, the maximum transmittance can reach more than 80. Ordinary glass with high iron content, UV transmittance is only about 30%.
