Blue tinted glass is produced by the float process with the addition of small amounts of metal oxides to tint the common clear glass mixture. This coloration is achieved by adding metal oxides during the smelting stage. Adding color will not affect the basic performance of blue tinted glass, but the visible light reflectivity will be slightly higher than that of clear glass.
