Low E glass provides excellent performance where temperature separation is required. Low E glass is used to help meet energy efficiency requirements by blocking UV light and providing thermal insulation. This is done with a special thin-film metal or oxide coating that prevents short-wave solar energy from entering the building and also prevents long-wave energy from heating systems and lighting from escaping outside.
